First, if applicable, always use the harnesses. The aftermarket wiring harness will usually take the guesswork out of the installation.

These harnesses attach to the vehicle’s factory wiring harness and gives you a color coded installation. You just attach red to red, yellow to yellow, etc.

A lot of head units come with a connector for this already attached to the ground wire. Connect the wires and dab a little solder on the wires.

You can try two techniques to find the right wires. Clip the rest of the wires from the factory harness. Two wires connected to the same speaker will make it pop. Note which speaker makes the pop and attach it to that speakers wiring from the head unit. I like to turn the unit on and make sure the wires are the right polarity. A reverse wired speaker will not have as good a sound as a properly wired one.

Continue until all the wires are in place. Zip tie the wire together and neatly tuck them behind the head unit. Be sure you have a good ground wire connection. Be sure that RCAs or signal wires are running away from any power wires or sources, and are not run parallel to them. The illumination wire is used to turn the factory radio lights on at night.

Car Wiring Upgrade

Executive Summary By Wande Osunrinde

Cars electrical systems are made up of complex network of wires arranged to supply electrical purses to different areas of the car, and they are very delicate and need to be upgraded regularly.

As a result, the above mentioned issue will have its own resultant effects on car users, because single upgrading from a particular component manufacturer will have its own negative effects on the car and therefore upgrading is the next solution.

Moreover, upgrading major components in car does not always occur to a layman until the car started having problem and this forms a major crux in car upgrading. Another reason for car upgrading is saving costs because it is better to upgrade car electrical components than buying a new car because electrical components in cars are easily prone to changes therefore upgrading will make the car function to a better capacity.

Components like car alarm system or security system are prone to changes, therefore it is always advisable to always check for the latest upgrade for maximum protection. Car wiring upgrade is also necessary, to make up for the wear and tears as a result of the car usage over the years.

The car will be more uniquely yours too. Upgrading an engine component unit of a car will ensure that all parts of the affected car is working in harmony together and is one of the best know ways to get increased power from your car.

Car Sound Systems

Does Size Matter In A Car Sound System

Executive Summary By Jennifer Seaton

When it comes to auto sound systems, one question seems to be repeated often-is bigger better? The same can be true of a good quality sound system for your car, truck, or SUV. You can elect to have the full range sound package. If you own a compact car, these types of speakers and this particular type of sound system is definitely not recommended.

I am personally biased towards the wonderful sound quality of the Bose sound system and speakers. The quality of sound with this particular system is excellent and any true music lover will tell you that good quality of sound is better by far than a louder sound.

I prefer a softer sound that has good quality to a louder sound of the substandard or even average quality on any day. The problem with most ‘big’ sound systems and speakers is that they often sound hollow or tinny rather than full and robust. A good auto sound system will provide the best possible sound within the confines of the least possible space.

You will not even have to have a Bose sound system in order to have a sound system that is not only excellent quality but also excellent sound. Find a system that sounds good to you and go with that system.
