Bluetooth Hands Free Car Systems – Find the Best Bluetooth Phone For Your Car

Executive Summary by  Ron Stephens

It was the first Lexus model with the Bluetooth hands free car system.

At that time, there were only 2 or 3 Bluetooth phones that Lexus recommended for the car. Even though there were already a good number of Bluetooth phones available, not all of them would work in the Lexus hands free system.

It is important to know however, that not every Bluetooth phone will perform well in your Bluetooth hands free car system. The car manufacturers test phones for compatibility with their systems. The phone manufacturers do not.

Here are some points to consider about Bluetooth handsets for you car:

  • In the early versions of automobile hands free systems, you could only input to the phone book by Bluetooth wireless transfer of the data.
  • You can now do voice dialing while the car is moving.
  • There were only a very small number of Bluetooth phones that would allow you to transfer your entire phone book from your phone to the car’s system via the Bluetooth connection. That feature is now available on many more phones.
  • For many Bluetooth hands free car systems, just about any Bluetooth handset will pair up. To make sure that you purchase the right phone, many car manufacturers now provide a compatibility guide on their website to help you determine which Bluetooth phones work best in their cars.
  • In addition to the compatibility guide, many car manufacturer’s websites will provide pairing instructions for each individual phone that they recommend.

If you have a car equipped with a Bluetooth hands free car system, do whatever is necessary to find a good phone to go with it.

Auto GPS systems can aid in tracking stolen vehicles in real time. The main advantage of using vehicle GPS systems is small size and ease of installation. The advanced technological car monitoring systems calculate the direction and speed your car is driving to help keep you safe and on course.

There are four types of GPS systems which can be categorized as Car navigational systems, portable outdoor GPS units, GPS hybrid and marine GPS systems. Some of the more popular ones are Magellan Maestro 4000 portable auto GPS system, Streetpilot c550 automotive GPS system and Garmin car GPS system.

When you are planning to get a car GPS tracking system, choose one which has live voice instructions along with visual maps, while you are driving. If your car didn’t come with a GPS system, I recommend getting one as soon as possible.
